Snag a Regent Baseball Glove When on a Budget

by jeff 10 Comments

Regent Diamond Player SeriesHave you ever heard of these gloves before? You’re about to because this page is all about the best Regent baseball glove perfect for you and the position you play.

Regent is a big sporting goods company and they actually produce products under the names Diamond and MacGregor.

I’ve known about the MacGregor baseball glove name because I remember in the 1980’s seeing a ton of their products for baseball and other sports.

These mitts are perfect for players who are on a strict budget because these are very low priced.

If you don’t want to break the bank on your core baseball equipment then this is one brand name that will save you tons.

My dad probably spent way too much money on equipment for us boys and could’ve saved a little more.

Have you ever seen one of the Diamond series models before? What do you think about them? I’d love to get your opinion.

Best Regent Infielders Glove

I really do like the Diamond player series offered by Regent and these are the best Regent infielders gloves available for you to purchase.

You can get these in different sizes so make sure when you click over to the product page you look over and select the one that is the best size for you.

An infielders mitt is usually smaller than all other positions because they need to scoop the ball up and throw it to first base in a hurry.

They put oil on the mitt before they even sell them which is essential when breaking in a baseball glove and that’s great because most of the time it takes several weeks to get one game conditioned.

I’m a big fan of the all-star glove you see pictured below.

It’s considered game-ready which means you don’t have to spend a ton of time breaking it in. You buy it and use it.

It looks like a solid ball glove and it’s under $100 which is nice.

Best Regent Outfielders Glove

Here is the best Regent outfielders glove you can get today.

This glove is made by Regent but they use the Diamond name and that makes sense seems how baseball is a game played on a diamond shaped infield.

However, this is an outfield glove so check it out! They are longer than most other gloves.

The reason is because you want this position to be able to reach and grab anything hit to them out there.

The outfield is a wide open space so if you can get your leather on it that’s a good thing!

The only thing I don’t like is that there is no hole for you to rest your index finger on. It’s closed. It has an extra layer of leather there though.

Overall, I like it for a beginners glove. I especially like the black and brown leather combination.

Diamond All Star Series

Top Catches (MLB)

Everyone loves watching these types of videos where pro players make spectacular catches.

These highlight reels are motivating as these players lay their bodies on the line and flash a little leather.

Best Regent Catchers Glove

This is the best Regent catchers glove you can buy today.

This is also perhaps the most affordable catchers mitt as well.

It’s actually a top seller so click the image and see for yourself.

Notice the heavy padding all around the glove.

These are highly padded for safety because the pitchers is going to throw the ball really hard all game long.

The last thing a catcher needs is bruised hands all season long!

The look of the black leather gives it a classic feel. This is a size 34.

Regent Sports Little League Glove

This is the specialized Regent sports Little League glove.

It’s very cheap and great for a first time glove.

It’s got leather laces but I’m not so sure about the actual palm of the glove.

This might be the perfect beginners glove for a child. You don’t really need to get something pricey for a beginner.

If your child want to try the game of baseball at a young age this is a great introductory mitt to see if they will enjoy this great game.

How To Oil a Baseball Glove

Ever wonder how to properly oil your glove in order to break in or restore it?

This is the video for you to watch.

Final Thoughts on These Regent Baseball Glove Choices

I would put these gloves in the same category as my Worth baseball gloves.

They are mostly for beginning baseball players. They are good old fashioned mitts. Nothing too flashy and nothing too expensive.

Give them a try!

Nice review! My brother-in-law was a regional sales director for Regent. Every glove I owned with the exception of my college first basemen’s glove was a Regent. Still have an untouched fielders glove. I can’t believe they still exist and are making decent gloves.

Thank you. They still make decent gloves and they are affordable for most every ballplayer.

What are the ingredients and what do the instructions say? I’m guessing it will be okay but I’d want to read the label first.

I still use my regent glove to play catch with my daughters. I’ve had it for almost 30 years. Good glove. Take care of something and it will last.
