Cheap Baseball Bats for Youth Players Offer Superb Performance

by jeff 2 Comments

Cheap Baseball Bats For YouthIn many cases, buying cheap baseball bats for youth players makes much more sense.

Sometimes you’re not sure that your child will persist in their interest for the sport, especially during these days when video games present a year-round temptation.

Why spend hundreds of dollars when it’s going to be relegated to the closet after the release of a new first person shooter game?

I went through at least five to six bats and used dozens of others. Many of you know the costs that are involved with organized sports and baseball is no exception.

And sometimes the cold reality is that you just can’t afford to buy an expensive bat. It just won’t fit in your meager budget.

But that doesn’t mean you need to get a cheap bat that’s barely more than a metal pipe.

In fact, you can get quite a few cheap youth baseball bat options that perform much better than their price tag would suggest.

This is one good example of how the low price of a bat doesn’t necessarily equate with low performance. Just the “Easton” brand name should have been enough to clue you in.

This company has been in the baseball bat industry since 1922, and since it’s now 2021 that’s 99 years…and counting.

This one-piece alloy bat is very affordable because it’s a couple years old.

It’s very light at a drop of -12 with a length of 26 inches and a weight of 14 ounces. You can also buy it at 27, 28 and 29 inches as well.

As per USA baseball rules, its barrel is only 2 1/4 inches. So it doesn’t use any composite material in the first place. It’s why Easton was able to make these cheap bats for baseball players without boosting the price.

Yet many of the advantages you get from more expensive Louisville Slugger bats are incorporated as well.

It’s very well-balanced, and it even feels lighter in the end so that very young children can control it nicely. It also comes with a large sweet spot.

It’s a wonderful bat for 7-year-old to 9-year-old players. Even its looks are awesome to young eyes, with its formidable-looking blue and grey color combo.

This is one bat that can cement a lifelong relationship between a child and a sport.

Maybe that’s Eastons strategy—it provides wonderful experiences at an early age, so as they grow older they patronize the brand’s equipment exclusively!

Compared to the Louisville Slugger, Easton is a new kid on the block. It only joined the baseball bat industry back in 1969. Yet 40 years (and counting) are enough for the brand to establish a reputation for excellent bats.

Its foundation principle is evolving technology, which the company has demonstrated time and again.

They were among the first brands to embrace the aluminum bat revolution, and the aluminum bats they made in those early days were markedly more durable and lighter than their competitors of the age.

Easton baseball was the company that introduced 2-piece bats to softball.

They created titanium bats during the 1990s, and when that was deemed “too good” and outlawed they promptly created a new metal called scandium which complied with the rules while it delivered titanium-like performance improvements.

Then in 206, they caused another paradigm shift when they used aerospace-grade fibers into a tough and light composite material.

And so we come to the Easton Rival, which is permissible in Little League.

It fully deserves the prestige of the high-tech brand, as it features with durable aluminum alloy.

It has a -10 drop, ranging from 26 inches (16 ounces) to 29 inches (19 ounces). It’s ideal for a 8-year old, and it hits very well.

And once again, it comes in colors that kids would deem “cool”. That’s not as unimportant as you might think. The colors can get them excited and confident, and those feelings go a long way in helping a child hit better.

The Easton Rival is a confirmed bestseller, and that’s not just because it’s cheap!

If you’re looking for cheap youth bats for very young players, you need to take a look at this.

If you have about $40 or so to spare, then this is a superb choice. It is certified and approved for use in all USA Baseball sanctioned leagues so you should be able to use it for your league.

And your child can use it too, because it offers a (-10) drop. That means the 27-inch version only weighs 17 ounces. That should give your child a lot of control with a long bat to wield.

The weight is balanced, and the large sweet spot is very rewarding. The handle measures 29/32 inches and it features the All Sports grip for a secure and comfortable hold.

What’s really notable about the Havoc is that it uses ALX50 aerospace-grade alloy!

That offers a combination of toughness and lightness that very few other bats can match. Not bad for cheap baseball bats for sale, right?

Rawlings is more known for its gloves, but it also makes sure it can help with your offense.

It offers 5 sizes from 27 inches to 31 inches for the drop 10 version.

It shares many characteristics of the Havoc. It also offers light but durable aerospace-grade alloy.

It’s also approved for use in various youth leagues, including Little League, Babe Ruth, Dixie, Pony baseball, AABC, and USSSA. And for the grip it comes with the “Soft Touch” grip, for a comfortable and secure hold.

So why choose this? One reason is that while the S3oo is affordable, the YBPLA4 Plasma costs only half as much! This clearly seems like selling at a loss to ensure that a young player becomes a fan for life.

And as a parent, there’s nothing really wrong about that.

You can buy cheap youth baseball bats if you’re not sure your children will be interested in the game in the future, but these bats are so good that you’re more likely to have baseball fans growing up in your home for many years to come.

Conclusion on Cheap Baseball Bats For Youth

Youth leagues have plenty of rules regarding bats, and for some parents that seems like a green light to spend lots of money on the most high-tech bats.

But in certain situations that doesn’t make sense for others.

At least now you know that if you’re looking for cheap baseball bats for youth league play, you don’t have to settle for low-performance bats.

Cheap Youth Baseball Bat Deals

A baseball bat deal is what you’re looking for right?

I gave you four super cheap options above. If it’s for tee ball take the Slugger. If it’s for Little League choose one of the other three.

I know with ObamaCare rolling out, a lot of people will be searching the word CHEAP. Finding a cheap bat is hard because you don’t know which ones are good and which are exactly what you pay for, crap. Thank you for the selection of inexpensive choices.

Lesley – There are a lot of reasons why we’re all looking for cheap stuff. You mentioned one. Taxes keep going up. The value of the dollar keeps going down. Cheap equipment makes sense.
